Beauty never a Cliché

I have always loved the works of Claude Monet. Seeing them in real life a few years ago in the Musee d' Orsay was a real treat. It angers me sometimes that people can be snooty about the paintings of the Impressionists. They feel that they are nothing more than a cliché. Does that diminish the work?  Does that make it any less inspiring?
I discovered the above piece this morning and it just made me feel happy. It didn't provoke conceptual questions. I didn't ask 'What is the art doing? I simply just enjoyed it for what it was. ART FOR ARTS SAKE!!! What a breath of fresh air.
